    Ummm .... I think you're confusing E-P2 and E-PL2

some of them are threads for epl-2 (links 3 and 4). the most significant upgrades so no need to jump:
    460k dot three inch screen
bluetooth transfer photos to smart phone
new 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 MSC (Movie & Still Compatible) kit lens

theres also a new art filter (dramatic) and addition of direct movie button, as well as 6400 ISO capabilities

the bluetooth option will apply to people not shooting in RAW, but that may be the target audience. New screen... seems nice. I cant imagine this release is why the EP-2 prices dropped so far leading up to xmas though.

Based on purely aesthetic critique, I don't really like the new spy pics of the "EPL2" since it comes off a little soft. A little contrast with body texture would make it a better looking camera. I have no access to photoshop at the moment, so here's a quick ms paint rendition.

Subscribe to see EXIF info for this image (if available)

CONTRAST: White parts would be silver, middle parts could be a soft black skin.
(Admin, I apologize if I am violating any forum rules. Let me know and I will remove this.)

    Alas ..

No news of USB remote release support -- so in all likelyhood its still not supported.

Looks like the GH2 + 100-300mm is in my m4/3 upgrade path instead (or whatever mystery pro m4/3 body Oly has in the works) -- but I will always fondly remember E-PL1 as my first m4/3 rig.

All this notwithstanding -- there's no denying the E-PL2 looks very, very pretty -- if its real.

Yes, but no one has mentioned the most important thing about the comparison

whether AF is faster in EPL2 or the same thing!?

    Good point.

For me, this would be the deciding factor to upgrade. Otherwise, I'm keeping the EPL1.

    E-PL2 review

Stanleyk - see you're from the same state as the good Mr. Tuck! I second your opinion, he's got great reviews, very real world as opposed to overly techy/lab report-style:thumbup:, and he convinced me to get into :43:. He's had three posts now on the E-PL2, and should have a few more the rest of this week.

    The Real Deal!! My E-PL2!

Bought my E-PL2 Thurs 20th Jan. I was taking back a NEX 5 that i wasn't getting on with and was going to wait to see what the E-PL2 was going to be like. The salesperson said he had received a delivery the night before and they were not even on show yet so i have the 1st and only black one wit 14-42mm silent lens!

What a great camera! I'm very impressed with it and love it to bits!
