Such a slim elegant lens, 46mm thread, ring flashes seem to start at 49/52mm.

I know a step-up ring would be required, just wondered if anyone has used this method of macro lighting.

BTW....I should have said a 'cheap' Ring Flash....Not Metz type prices.

Haven't used them with m43, but I've used a couple different cheap macro lights on my previous macro setup (5DIII + 100mm macro) from China flea-bay sellers. The ones I've tried are the the Yongnuo WJ-60, and the Meike FC-100.

I really wasn't terribly impressed by either of them. My main issue is that they were largely lacking in power. Even with the led's at full power, to get any sort of useable DOF/shutter speed I had to crank the ISO to 6400 and above.

They are relatively lightweight, which I guess is a plus. You could potentially hang a couple off your setup through the use of brackets/arms and it'd still be quite light, I suppose.
