Not GH2, G2. The nice mid level one. I gather it is -- rather, was -- compatible with the PTool hack at some point. Has anyone tried it out?

I loaded it onto my G2. I can set ISO now when recording videos, and also added in the Lpowell Fast action 3-frame GOP standard patch v2 (increase video bitrates). AVCHD Video does look more detailed than stock FW, but I haven't really had a chance to play around with it much. I've also noticed that my camera seems to randomly switch from photo to video mode when I'm changing settings (such as aspect ratio, color). Perhaps I'm unknowingly pushing another button. If I switch modes (M to P back to M for example) the problem goes away.

Have you tried it? I haven't seen much feedback online with this firmware.

shot at ~70 mbps. all the artifacting is from having a 6 year old computer trying to edit ginormous HD files

Nice! Was this shot with the Panasonic 14-140?
