I'm looking at a long telephoto lens in m39 mount.

I'm wondering if there is any potential sensor coverage issues with M39 mount lenses adapted to micro 4/3 cameras.

    Thanks,

    Karl

    I don't think so.
The M39 lenses are all designed for full-frame film coverage : 4/3rds sensor is much smaller.

I think the only sensor coverage problem with M39 lenses is on the collapsible ones - they might cover the sensor a little too closely ...

Yeah, wedge any collapsible lenses open, but other than that, you're fine.

You typically pay more for a Long Telephoto (105mm and higher) lens in 39mm Leica mount than their SLR counterparts. The optics are usually identical. Be careful of buying a Soviet SLR M39 mount lens: finding an adapter might be difficult.

The FSU 135/4 comes in M39 RF coupled mount for the rangefinder camera, and 39mm Zenit mount for the SLR. The adapter required for each is different.
