I'm looking at getting these 2 lenses and wondered is there was any place offering them at a discounted price? I thought I saw a Canadian dealer that had discounts but now I cannot remember who it was.
I have a 10% off coupon for Amazon so may just order thru them.

Most Panasonic lenses have a discount when purchased with a body. At B&H, the 12-35 for instance is $1000 ($200 off) when bought with the G5.

    B&H: New GH2 Body & Lumix G 12-35mm f/2.8 Lens for $1,500

    B&H: New GH2 Body & Lumix G 12-35mm f/2.8 Lens for $1,500

    $500.00 for the GH2 Body & $1,000.00 for the Lumix G 12-35mm f/2.8 Lens when purchased together....

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2 Digital Camera (Black) DMC-GH2K B&H

Works out to a pretty good kit lens for the GH2

For the last 2 weeks GH2 Bodies have sold on ebay in a range of $440.00 to $910.00

I wish they had a discount like that for purchase with the GH3 as that is what I'm looking at getting also. I have an Olympus right now and will be keeping that too.

I can get the lens right now for $1079 after discount so I would only be saving $80 if I can sell the body for $500. It is looking like that may be my best way to go.

    In the UK they have a GH3 kit with 12 - 35 designated GH3AEB-K
I dont know if that product code is also valid over there
The lens costs a bit less by buying the kit
We had a terrific 30% discount running on kits like this with Lumix Lifestyle (which makes up a little for the inflated UK costs compared to US market)
I dont know if you have anything similar running over there but it might be worth looking into

They're a lot cheaper if you have a friend in Japan who can get them for you. :)

Look for bundles if that's relevant. I got the 12-35/2.8 earlier this year for $900 with a G5 and sold my GX1 + LVF2 for more than the G5 cost.

The 35-100/2.8 will probably come down a couple of hundred dollars but possibly not until after the holidays. I really wanted the lens and bit the bullet at its current price. Having used it, I am not going to look back and have regrets. I am going to get a lot of use out of it in the next couple of months, and the pics will probably be priceless, at least to us.

I split the rebate with my sister. She got a nice GX1 with kit zoom for $350 and some change, and I got the 12-35mm for $999. Win-win!

My only regret is that I did not keep the GX1 for myself.

Amazon just lowered the price on the 35-100 by $100, it's $1399.99 right now. Sold by amazon, of course.

I have not checked B&H or Adorama, but amazon might have matched one of the others, like they usually do.

Panacam is selling through Amazon at that price. They usually have lower prices because they are based off of Japan where lenses are cheaper. Good deal but no warranty in the states.
