Sorry if this question was raised before, I could not find any answer on the forums about it.

Is there any Canon EOS lens adapter to MicroFourThirds with aperture control ring?

I know that Novoflex makes that type of adapters for Nikon lenses and I asked them by e-mail today if they intend to do the same for the EOS lenses.

Is there any other source for this?

    Regards,

    António Carlos

AFAIK Nikon lenses have, for the most part, manual aperture control, and the only special adapter needed is for the G-lenses. Electronic aperture control EOS lenses can't be aperture controlled mechanically, so someone would have to come up with a chip-equipped adapter that has some sort of communication with the m4/3 cameras in order to allow aperture control on EOS lenses. I don't know of anyone who's built anything like that for m4/3 cameras (I've looked for a long time).

    Thanks!

Thanks for the very clear explanation.

It seems we'll have to wait!
