I have discovered that, even in manual mode for example, that using magnified view for manual focusing, that it will not show the scene at the specified A,S, and ISO settings.

Lets say there is a scene and a highlight area is the one we want to make sure we have focused on. To not clip the highlights, we choose to underexpose the shot, say at -1 EV. So I go into magnified view to focus on the highlights and make sure they are in focus. The problem is, the camera has the highlights so blow in magnified view that I can't do manual focus with magnified view. But when I get out of magnified view, the scene shows how I want it.

Is there any way to make the magnified view to show the the scene at the specified settings?
