Well, it's on sale. I doubt it will actually sell at that price...

This is going to be a challenge to sneak past my accountant (a.k.a. my wife). I guess I can explain that its value has (apparently) more than doubled in the past year. At that rate of return I should be able to retire off this lens after another couple of years.

I have an Angenieux lens. Imagine how I felt when I slipped screwing it back together and scratch the surface of the mount.

If it was supposed to be Chinese Yuan, that's still $9427.

Time to dig in the sofa cushions for loose change.

Is that for real? If so what makes it so valuable?

Dude, it's an Agnenieux. NASA picked Agnenieux lenses to take to the moon.

When I opened mine up, there are all these markings hand written with a pen. I like to think that Pierre made mine with his own little hands sitting in a tiny apartment in Paris while wearing a beret.

That seems excessive. This one was going for only $29,000, in a Leica M mount. A bargain by comparison.
