For a DSLR it is pretty compact and for less than 400 Euro a pretty difficult to beat this bang for the buck. The build quality is a pretty solid and the OVF better than any EVF I have tried recently.

My lens collection is growing well (maybe too well) and I enjoy discovering photography, especially with the UWA (Tamron 10-24 mm auto focus zoom) and Fast manual focus prime (Pentax SMC A 50 mm F1.4). Next to the 18-55 mm and 50-200 mm DA (no-L) zooms I already decided to get the new DA 35 mm F2.4 and still doubting on the longer range between any of these:
    - DA 70 mm F2.4 Limitted
    - FA 77 mm F1.8 Limitted
    - Sigma 50-150 mm F2.8
    - Sigma / Tamron 70-200 mm F2.8

Or even a fast 85 mm Manual focus lens (Samyang...):
    - Already owning 3 x Pentax A lenses (28 mm F2.8, A 50 mm F1.4, A 135 mm)
    - And 4x Pentax M lenses (28 mm F2.8, 50 mm F2, 135 mm F3.5, 200 mm F4) - most to be sold

And later I might also consider one of the following investments:
    - K-5 (at more reasonable price, like K-7 at this moment, and donate K-x to friend / family)
    - Macro Auto focus lens
    - Long Auto focus tele lens, bv 300 mm
    - < 10 mm Fisheye, e.g. the 8 mm Samyang

But probably I still first get the following to play with:
    - External flash
    - Polarizer + IR filter
    - Extention tubes / Rear converter ring

    Thanks
    - But I will keep the LX3!!!
    - Should I also move away from this forum???

Oh, I like the compactness of K-x with the A 50 mm F1.4 prime, not much bigger than G2. But also with the possibilty to add a decent fast auto focus tele zoom. Pretty happy with camera so far and a lot to learn / discover.

The only thing I have to ask...whats with calling the K-x old? It was barely hitting retailer shelves a year ago (I know, I bought a white one as soon as I could!). Can't wait to get the K5 myself - a K7 with a killer sensor, yes please, thank you!

You are right, at Pentax forum I called it buying a NEW Pentax camera (iso a 2nd hand one)...
    - If K-5 is very good, I want more from the camera and the price will go down with introduction of K-3 and K-1 (!?!?!?!) then I will for sure considering to "upgrade" as well.
