Isn't the E-M1 (and 12-40) supposed to be waterproof?
They are designed to be weather-resistant ie able to withstand rain etc, but they are not designed to be submersible. Mind you, I've submerged 4/3 lenses in a river before and not a drop of water has entered, and I've washed my 4/3 cameras under a tap many a time and nothing has gotten in. I haven't tried that with the E-M1 yet, but it sounds pretty resistant based on that tale. What may have happened is that the lens got damaged in the fall and allowed water to enter.
