My daughter spotted this scene while we were driving over to a friends house and luckily I had my camera in the back of the car.
She insisted I stop. Fortunately I did..

I love the shot and have seen this effect once in a while. It is beautiful.

In my travels, I would have suggested stopping for a photo and my daughter would have complained about stopping.... You have a smart daughter.

I'm always seeing great photo opportunities driving to work, but never remember to take my camera with me and even if I did it'd be far to inconvenience / difficult to stop and get the right framing etc.
Nice to see that you had the camera with you.

The desire to have a camera with me always was what got me into u43 in the first place. I bought an e-pl5 and a small bag - wherever I go, it goes too. I liked the IQ from it so much, I bought an e-m5 and sold all my Canon gear!

I remember visiting Stonehenge in the UK and when we were leaving I saw something similar (though not nearly as dramatic as what you have captured). I asked my host to pull over so I could take a few shots.

That, or like the French or us German speaking folk call them: Fingers of God

Quite common phenomenon in Central Europe. Especially in summer when they occur on a nearly daily basis (as long as there are some clouds)

Awesome shot! The best camera is indeed the one you have with u at moments like this.

Sent from my trusty Samsung Galaxy Note 2

The lens is from Olympus! The mountain of the Greek gods.
