I really enjoy my G3 for a travel camera.

I wanted a lens with a better reach and actually got the 14-140 which covered everything I needed. I liked the zoom and IS, but it was so darned slow, and the ISO so limiting that I found it useless except for outdoor and bright scenarios. I returned it to B&H after 2 days.

When I travel I don't like to take more than a walk-about lens and my pancake.

Can you tell me if you know something roughly equivalent to the 14-140 (wide and long) lens, but faster?

I don't think ANY system has a "fast" superzoom.

Your best option in the near future will be the Panasonic 12-35/2.8 + 35-100/2.8
