That one looks awfully short for the focal length. If you search eBay for 'nikkor 135mm (shade, hood)' you will see that the OEM Nikon hoods for the 135 3.5 are quite a bit longer. Your lens has even a slightly longer (equivalent) focal length so would want longer still.

If your local camera dealer has a junk box full of Nikon hoods (like mine does) you could buy a step-up ring to 52mm and experiment.

The Amazon hood is screw-in too. Personally I think those are a PITA and would look for a snap-in option.

If you find a hood that you like but it vignettes slightly, just spend some quality time with a belt sander and adjust it to the perfect length.

Thanks, just ordered one. I've been whining for a few days about this on another thread here to deaf ears.

I use that hood. I don't see the point of buying the Olympus hood (way overpriced) or the imitation hoods (still expensive). The screw-in-hood works just fine and is far cheaper. I really find lens hoods to be a major price gouge. You could roll up a piece of black construction paper, tape it to your lens and have the same effect.

Heh- I own both the EZ-Photo screw in hood and the unofficial-official-hood (JJC).

I like both though, and the only reason why I have both is because the clamp JJC one is reversible for those times when I take it off but may still need it.

    Same hood.

I pretty much sold all my other lenses to get the 75mm. For my style of shooting, I'm definitely in the telephoto FL quite a bit and I do quite a bit of lowlight with the lens as well.

Hey Gordy is an mu-43 member, gotta support our own!

How about a few pics from this new lens
I could get out in the street in last night and get a few shots, it was freezing outside with the wind blowing, so I did not get to shoot much

The first one is an indoor shoot, rest are outdoor in the night. All with OM-D

What hood did you use for your 45mm?
