    I wrote Maxell Corporation who make the Airstash. They say AirStash requires the FAT32 format. Does anyone know what kind of format Oly / the Om-d uses?

    I believe it is. You can confirm by sticking it in a computer and checking.

    What would be interesting is how sophisticated the ipad app is. Can you choose just the jpeg half of a raw+jpeg pair? Can you choose whole directories for transfer at once? Etc.

    I have bought a number of Airstash. I like them although they are really a bit expensive for what they are. The software is very good that goes with the Airstash. You can download RAW or Jpeg and even copy from a smart device to an Airstash.

    It works perfectly well with Olympus cameras. The FAT32 format simply means that it will not work with files over 4GB in size. Such as a high definition movie that you might wish to stream.
