Air show with G1 but....

Discussion in 'Other Genres' started by ddb, Sep 11, 2010.

  1. Took my G1 with the 45-200 and my Canon 5D with the 100-400L to the National Stearman Fly In today. I was skeptical that the G1 combo could come away with any good in air shots. I was pleasantly surprised that it did as well as it did. Was glad that I had the Canon combo which I used for most of the shots though.

    Lovely

Those are nice shots of some lovely old aircraft. It looks like it was a perfect day for an airshow, too. The Beech AT-11 (Beech 18) is one of my favorite old airplanes. Thanks for the photos! I have a Gf1 that I use with a Zeiss 80-200 Vario Sonnar. You would think it would be an awkward combination for shooting photos of aircraft in flight, but it does surprisingly well.
