In January, I went on a tour through Africa (visiting Zambia, Botswana and South Africa). I took my E-PL3 with my m.Zuiko 14-42mm and m.Zuiko 40-150mm lenses. I'd only just got this camera less than a month earlier, so it was a pretty steep learning curve, but I ended up getting some shots I was really proud of. In most cases, these lenses were plenty for my needs. But the odd time, it just wasn't enough reach so I missed out on some potentially good photos. Here are some pics:

Wow nice photos! I'm surprised you were able to get in so close with only 150mm (or did you crop?).

Thanks! None of those photos are cropped, as far as I can remember. We were pretty lucky how close we got. With the lions, we went on a "lion walk" in Zambia, so we got to actually pat them and stuff. Those lions pictures were taken from about 2-3 metres away. It would have been nicer at times to have a bit more reach, because we did come across a pride of lions that were just a little bit far away to get a good shot!
