Hi,
I own an E-pl1, and I recently bought a second hand GF1 + 20mm pancake.
I have a problem when I use de 20mm into the E-PL1 when I try to focus to the sky or the sun, in a sunshine day... it seems that It can't focus, and finally, the camera stays for two, three or more seconds not responding.... after that, it returns the control....
When I try to focus exactly the same place with de GF1, it takes a long time to focus, but finaly can get focused. I can feel that is still difficult to focus with de gf1 in that situation.
In other situations in the shadow, inside home, no problems with GF1 and E-PL1. And focuses very quick.
It seems that in a dificult situations to focussing, the GF1 can do it slow, but the E-PL1, just can not.
I have to say, that I haven't tryed to update anything with the e-pl1 with lens attached... don't know if this can help....
So, If somebody has the same problem, please tell me.
