Thought so far, that auto focus with my-4/3 cameras only with the latest
Zuiko digital lenses like the 14-54II works.

Now I heard, that the Zuiko digital 9-18mm and the 70-300mm also work
with AF mode at the G1 or GH1.

    Can any one confirm ?

    Thanks
    regards

I believe all Olympus lenses that support CD-AF in live-view mode are supposed to be fully AF compliant on Panasonic bodies. For example 14-42 and 40-150 mk2. Unfortunately i dont have Panasonic body and cant confirm but I am also interested and hope somebody can answer this.

so it looks like that these Oly lenses will work with AF

    9-18mm
    14-42mm
    14-54mm II
    25mm
    40-150mm
    70-300mm

    as they have "CDAF"

Yep, I have the 9-18mm with the Panasonic adaptor which works fine. Non CDAF lens will work but what I have heard they are slow to AF.

    @ Willo

    Thanks

    > how fast or slower is the 9-18mm compared to when connected
to an Olympus standard 4/3 ?

I find the 9-18mm fine for AF, in fact no different to the kit lens. Just make sure you have firmware 1.3 on the lens, this was introduced to speed up CDAF.

I did notice was there is a whirring noise when focusing but I think this is normal for 4/3 lens. I also tried the 14-54mm II which is just as quick, really tempted to get this as well.

If you can, go to a shop and try them to see if they are right for you.

I think the 9-18mm will work out with the G1, as AF speed for wide aperture
    pictures does not matter.

    But with a tele as the 70-300, speed when focusing is also needed;
