New years eve and I took my younger brothers and sister out to find a Christmas Tree. Our property lies on a treeless plain with the majority of cultivated black soil farming land. But what is interesting is that about 4 km from our house on the other side of the river the soil turns into sand and it is a very heavily wooded bushland. Full of native Australian Trees and our Christmas tree 'trees' the Cypres Pine.

Kid's got sidetracked on the way to choosing a tree to chop down

Had to pose next to the really annoying Prickly pear tree

I must second Mr Flores. It's currently 39 Degrees F here in the Southern U.S., and I always enjoy seeing images from south of the equator around Christmas time. It's always funny (to me) to see Santas sitting on the beach and whatnot. I hope you guys have a Merry (and not so sweltering) Christmas.

Thanks fellas. Christmas day today was simply fantastic, usually it's so hot we have to go for a swim but the weather was perfect. A couple of hours to go and we Australians will have completed our Christmas day. Merry Christmas to all who are waking up this morning.
