When the new version of Lightroom comes out will it be likely to already support the new Olympus camera files?

I think it's unlikely. Adobe tends to run a bit behind camera introductions with updates to camera support in LR and ACR.

We had an Adobe update about 30 days after the E-P3 started shipping from US retailers (end of July shipping, Adobe release end of Aug). We may have been lucky with the timing of a planned Adobe RAW update, but they do seem to get updates out for popular cameras (for Adobe users) a bit more quickly.

I'll talk to the product manager and lead UI guy to see if they have any timing ideas.

Guess it depends when we expect to see LR4. If I recall, LR3 went through a few beta/RC's before being released, and we're only at beta 1 for LR4 that runs through March.

Presumably, we'll have the E-M5 out by the time beta 2 is out. And hopefully enough time for oly and adobe to work something out for the LR4 release (or shortly thereafter).

The real question is will we see support for it in LR3.
