Thing i hate about Adobe CS, is once a new version comes out they stop near enough straight away supporting the older version.

Razer, Thats why I committed to LR.
I hate being forced to upgrade but one has no choice.
If LR ever gets to do Actions, I'll drop PS.

    Your right there Streetshooter.

I think Lightroom (once you spend a year learning it) is one of the few true value packages from Adobe.

Elements is also now very much up there as doing most things that a photographer could want, but for me its missing actions! and when processing a lot of images, time is money.

Adoble will never put actions in Elements or LR as they would then loose a massive % of their CS market.

Yikes, that seems fast! I too will be upgrading to LR3 but sticking with my current PS version for quite some time to come.

Gimp offers pretty good value for money too. And financially at least, upgrades are utterly painless.

Yeah but, Adobe has that addicting thing going.
If you use it long enough, ya have to have it.
LR will never have actions. I was amazed that the let plug ins work.
I do less ans less in PS but what I need there will never be in LR...
    Tsk tsk.... What to do?
    Pay for 2 upgrades again.
