    Hi all

    first post on :43:

Anyone think of or got an Adapter + Ultra Wide combo... that is a good alternative to Pana 7-14 and Oly 9-18 ?

Is this a good value alternative?

How much do you value AF - a few months ago, (when i bought my G1), I thought, nay a wide MF lens will be good - but I do now find AF on the dedicated stuff really useful - (could be my age, I'm an old git!)

The M43 cams lack split screen focus and I have never found what they have, the two button approach, to focus much good with MF lenses - just slow and frustrating in anything other than a tripod or "plenty of time" situation

A cheap way to get ultrawide is take two shots and stitch them as a panorama. Free pano software is freely available.

A cheap adapter will lower IQ while a pano adds more MP.

I dont think there is one, albeit I have not tried any lens with adapter under 24mm. The only lens that may work ok is the Canon FD 17mm

It's impossible to replace or substitute the 9-18......
It's not been off my Pen since I got it about a month ago....

I saw the sigma 10-20mm from 4/3 adapted to m4/3
