Today I received my K&F adapter for Olympus PEN-F (the "half frame" 1960's version) mount to M4/3. An actual PEN-F lens is still on the way but I do have an original Olympus Exakta to PEN-F adapter which should be functionally the same as a lens.

First thing I do of course is eagerly test the Olympus EXA to PEN-F adapter in the K&V PEN-F to M4/3 adapter.

Bottom line: the mounts fit together, but do not rotate to lock. Not even with a little force. It's hitting metal on metal somewhere. Very disappointing. I will wait for the real PEN-F lens to come in, but will be very surprised if it does work. This Olympus EXA to PEN-F adapter is in its original box, and the Exakta side fits like a glove, so I strongly suspect the K&F is too far out of spec. Frustrating!

Any suggestions on a PEN-F to M4/3 adapter that does work? My experience with average cheap Chinese adapters are that they don't always work on the M4/3 side of things. At least not on my E-M1.2 or E-M5.2.

Regards, C.

I just learned that these PEN-F lenses rotate in a Nikon direction. Very unexpected, since OM lenses rotate in the other direction. Anyway, it fits perfectly if you rotate it correctly. Learned something today :)
