Unfortunately, it's been SO HOT (over 90 for over 7 days straight) so I'm struggling to get my roses enough water. You can tell, by the crispy edges of the outer petals. ?

These are my first attempts with it attached to my E-M10 mk 3 and once I take a bit more time and care with focussing,
I think this is going to be one of my favourite lenses.

First shots using my Konica 57mm f1.4 lens on my Olympus EM10ii. Decided to shoot some things that didn't try to escape or hide. A pink rose and a red/yellow flower of a variety that I don't recognize.

Well, it was Konica Day in Shelby NC today. To be precise, I loaded up some of the latest fruits of my OLAS and wandered around town. Shelby is, like much of this part of the state, formerly textile strong. Old mills, warehouses, and structures dot the county. I've lived here for 30 years, and had never seen the building(s) in some of these pics. I'll post up more as I get them through processing. Apologies in advance for any cross-posting you may see.

I'm really looking forward to seeing more from this set; both lenses and location.

I am making my very first adapter using a C mount adapter as my starting point. I am not sure if all C mount adapters are the same profile or not. This is the only one I have.

From my calculations the red X, in the photo below, marks the plane for the C mount flange distance and the blue X marks the plane for the m4/3 flange distance. Is that correct? I want to be sure I am measuring from the right place to calculate the correct length of my adapter (M42 to M4/3) which should be 26.2mm.

There is also a tiny little screw on the m4/3 part of the adapter. Shown on the black adapter below. What is that tiny screw for? Is it used to snug up an adapter? If so how does it work?

I hope this is the correct place to be asking questions like this? I couldn't find another thread that I thought was appropriate.

You do realize that you can buy a M42 to M43 adapter off fleabay for $10+/- ? That gnarly guy in Australia might be able help you with information on how to make the adapter. He uses a lot of adapted lenses and can be found in the 'Showcase Motorcycle' picture section.
I made a body cap lens out of a body cap and a 25mm f5.6 lens from of an old Kodak Advantix 35mm camera and had one heck of a time shimming the lens to get the focusing where it should be. Turned out pretty decent but is no substitute for the great Pan/Leica 25mm f1.4! YMMV.

More from Konica Day. I didn't use the 50/1.4 as much as the others. I have a group where I shot the same rough subject with the 40, 50, and 200, but I haven't gone through those yet.

This was an entry office of one section of the mill across the street from the warehouse. Long idle.

I left this shot out. The warehouse obviously predated large-scale air conditioning. Since the doors are probably open when there is activity taking place, it's probably still not practical. There are several of these along the front of the building near the top of the wall. Best estimate is 3-4' in diameter.

Amaryllis, a bulb that keeps on producing more bulbs. Some people obsess about them. Nice shots!

How did it go?

The C mount requires that the lens goes into the body somewhat. Other adapters exist for other mounts that do not do that, all their bases would be too large anyway but their back focus distance is much larger than the c mount.

Why alter a c mount adapter?
