Olympus staff probably watch Kai from DigitalRev like the rest of us. ;)

Seriously? I was going to buy a couple of E-P1's and connect them with a chain to use as nun-chucks...back to drawing board I guess.

Pens are girly! That's why I sport two manly Pen bodies in white with matching half cases and straps!

    Ned,
The Frederick's of Hollywood in Bev Hills already did that with a Point and Shoot a few years ago.

Oh well. It's not like there's many photographic ideas that haven't been done already. All that matters is that it hasn't been done to death. ;)

Hence my attraction for the camera as a heterosexual man.

Well, the mirrorless cameras are largely driven by the female market. That's who have been largely buying the cameras initially, so that's where Olympus has been targeting its advertising; this is no secret. It's stated in that article, and it's seen in many places.

Also, on this forum, I see more talk about style and accessorizing than every other forum I frequent combined. I can't go one page here without someone asking which color of whatever model they should get, if we think their leather half-case looks good, which skin we recommend based on their current choice of strap, or which grip goes the nicest with which body. People are decorating their m4/3 cameras as expressions of themselves as much as tools. So, I think that even here, the m4/3 cameras are appealing to many's feminine side.

One thing's for sure about my e-p3: chicks dig it! :2thumbs:

Bring on the hot camera joshi action! Oh look, a kitten *snap*

Seriously though, if we're going to assign gender to forms, I think the squared-off rangefinder type body is more masculine than a curvy DSLR. Maybe if you attach a huge long telephoto lens to the DSLR, it gets a sex change. Anyway, I hope there's room in the future Olympus lineup for all body styles, so photographers of all genders can continue to use them.

    Makes sense.

It's the only thing I accessorize heavily, and strut around with it strapped to my shoulder.

The right pinky has also been know to stray away and point upward when the shutter is released.
