Well, since there are no more takers, I'll tell you!

Native Americans tied saplings to grow in odd shapes to mark their trails. They would usually mark a turn or a way-point. There was one such tree at the end of my street until it finally fell over.

My street was:
A Native American trail, then a wagon trail, then a road, then US-23, and now a City Street.

Organic or Human? by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

The Deep River foaming below the Fernhook Falls in the Mt Frankland South National Park near Walpole. I suspect given its location that this is organic foam rather than foam caused by human activity, but I could be wrong of course.
