Very, very unsubtle editing, start picture is heavily over exposed, but I thought it was something to be had there. It would have been a boring landscape, but I like it as it is now, perhaps not a an abstract as such, but more impressionistic?

Have you tried this in B&W? I think it might work well with high contrast.
Kept the same PP but switched to the Olympus Monotone profile. Edit: boosted the contrast as well.
