I couldn't find a thread that was for photos that were of nature but not so naturalistic.

Thanks, hopefully peoples can find contributions! A home for things that e.g. don't quite fall into the Minimalist, Decay or Blurry Photos threads
I think this fits.
I like the idea of this thread, so here goes. Not sure if this is abstract enough. Here are two versions. Which works better?
I have a number of shots that would fit the category. Here are a few in the "grasses" category, a good subject for abstracts
Late October Miscanthus
Muhly Grass macro
A few more - this is the same plant seen in three different ways
Golden Hour Sparkles
Abstract - switchgrass in the morning light
Autumn shadows and light on switchgrass
Tree at the Creek
Burst of Spring Color
trumpet lily in bud
Abstract with stipa
Dogwood, late October
lady's mantle, macro view

I have a slight preference for the colour version. My (colourblind!) rules of thumb are (1) Does the colour add some spatialization that the B&W lacks? (2) Is there some intrusive piece of colour, e.g. a bit of yellow plastic flotsam on a pebbly beach, that distracts from the whole, ahem, composition?
Thanks. I go back and forth, but today I think I share your preference.
Don't know if this is appropriate, or not....because of the processing. I'll be happy to delete it, if not.
