Now that the EP3 and Mini's are announced and I"m given serious consideration in getting one of the newer bodies.. I"m left wondering what to do with the my EP2..

My 1st instinct was simply to sell it and use the funds towards the new camera or the 45mm/1.8 but since I'm still wondering if the camera is being held back by to strong of an AA filter. My 2nd instinct is to have it removed and see how much of an affect it has on the quality of the photos both in sharpness and dynamic range.

Does anyone here know of anyone that has Hod Rodded an EP1 or EP2 by having the AA filter removed?

LovinTheEP2 but falling for the EP3/EPmini too

I can tell you the AA filter has on dynamic range--none.

AA filters are not a bad thing. I doubt you can separate it from the sensor assembly, but I have never tried.
  3. I didn't think that it was removable/replacable a la IR filters, but I don't know for sure.
