I like very much #1. Composition, sharpness and theme are great.

Ame here, I really like #1 - and I can't imagine how people can actually live there during the winter. Although, a friend of mine out here is from Calgary, and he claims it's nice in the summer... He actually plays icehockey in Hawaii.

I've spent many winter holidays in Russia. Temperatures down to -40°C, that's cold, but those are the beautiful days !

I think I would like it in Alberta too

Nice pics, by the way ! How do you deal with the cold for your camera ?

    At -40, you don't need to specify *C ...

    1. It's seriously cold, regardless of which scale
    2. -40*C = -40*F

I always laugh when my colleagues in Edmonton mention temperatures. They are always clear to say "plus" in front of the temperature, even in the summer. I guess when it's just as likely to have +30*C or -30*C, those clarifications are important ...
