i had to sell off my gear a couple of years back due to injury. i am trying to get back into photography again. i had a g5 but havent seen any used for sale. i saw a gx1 with 8mm for $160. is that a good price and will i be disappointed based on prior camera experience?

Hi ,i have both G5 and a GX1 with panasonic viewfinder.
GX1 +VF : i don't like i because you constant have to switch to eather VF or screen via button on the VF.
    With G5,it detects for itself.
Maybe Oly VF's have this detection on them ,or maybe you don't use a VF?
And that 8mm is a fisheye?

I'd aim for something newer. You should be able to find a used EM10 version 1 for not much over the cost of the GX1, or, if you don't mind a tiny camera with somewhat worse handling (nonetheless great image output), the Panasonic GM1 is a super deal right now. Even a GX7 might come in at the right price. But I'd aim for an EM10.

After long deliberation and many almost submit orders, I narrowed it down to the SL1 and the E-M10....in the end I just purchased the E-M10 with 14-42 refurb off Olympus for $319.

    Thanks for the input everyone!
