Since it was a nice crisp morning and afternoon I decided to grab the Pen and have a wander.

I am in the boonies so nothing but woods and footpaths for me which is a bonus after spending the working week in london.

So here is a selection from my walk today.

Beautiful set, Nigel! I really am drawn to the scene looking up through the circle of trees; great effect.

Many thanks for the comments and glad you like that shot....

Earlier this week I missing the wide end of the spectrum lens wise, I only got the camera last week and bought the twin lens kit along with a 45mm ƒ1.8.

Then I found a 9-18 for sale on here and managed to secure it, so I can now mess around in the 9-18 are.

I love wide angle stuff now I have the lens and the VF-2 I can shoot wide and get some funky low angles which is next weeks little project I think.

Very nice. I like the lower contrast images best.

#3 is my fav. #10 is nice, but a touch of contrast and selective darkening of the background will really add some pop and may make this already nice image just a bit nicer. I appreciate that you look up. #5 is great but, (the big but), it is a bit muddy. Add some contrast, maybe some selective dodging and burning and see where you can take the image and where this image will take you.

    Good Luck and Good Shooting,

Very nice work. My favorites are #'s 3,4 and 5 of the first set, and #4 from the second set. Thanks for sharing them.

I really enjoyed this set, found it quite inspirational. There are some woods close to where I live, but I've never really exploited them for images yet. Will bear your images in mind.
