I finally had my adapter modified by a machinist at work to properly (without having to file down that pesky little "tab") accept my Fujinon 55mm f 1.8 (EBC) lens. This is an important lens to me as I inherited it from my late Uncle Jim. He loved photography and I'm proud to carry on his passion in some small way by keeping his lens in service.

    Love the lens.

From a walk the other night. All are GF1/JPEG out of camera/no pp/ CC welcome

Your composition of these shots is fabulous, imo. Keep them coming!

Great lens got one my self...just curious are you using the Fuji X mount version or the M42 (screw mount) version, cause I don't have problem with tab, mine is M42 version.

Thanks guys! It's a m42 screwmount. The tab serves some sort
of aperture function on the Fujica AZ-1 the lens came with. When mounted to my adapter, the tab presses against the adapter which prevents the aperture ring from being rotated. I had a groove machined into the adapter to allow clearance for the tab.

Ahh, nice to see familiar scenery in your shots (and very nice shots at that). I wonder if there is a Micro 4/3 meetup group in Chicago. It would be fun to go on photo expeditions.

Nice. I have this lens and use it on an EP-2. Great shots. The colour rendition is great.

    great pics !

You're right to have the adapter machined, rather than the lens !
