A walk to the square tower

    Step out and take a walk, looking for a square tower which is "over there" on the old Roman road. That is, in the woods.

    First thing, water.

    It's quite warm and light is strong.

    Then we find the path, and it's there. Not so ancient, as we find out it's a 1775 observation tower, "just in case the French attempt something quirky". They did it a few years later, tower untouched.

    This also means we can head downwards, lunch awaits.

    Here's the Bad Guy, meeting us while he waits for his party going up to have lunch at the tower.
