Hello all,

I teamed up with my nephew, who is a car enthusiast and owns a mod - Miata/Roadster for track racing. We put together a Tribute video to his car. He loves to drive & I love to shoot

Shot with G6+12-35, EM5+12 and a couple GoPros.

Hope you enjoyed it.

You need to make the video public in You Tube settings, we can't see it. I'm on my 3rd MX5 (Miata) now and love the things.

Really nice vid! I've got a set of those Hankook RS-3's on my STi, plenty of grip and even break away.... makes me want to hit up the canyons now. :)

Nice vid, nice car. I too have a white roadster (and a silver one as well ). But mine as 1.6s not 1.8 like yours. but a JR supercharger makes up the difference LOL!

BTW, those are nice roads! We don't have that kind of scenery around here but we do have nice curvy roads too

Nice & shinny. I like the chrome roll bars.

Silver is nice too. Don't see many on the road.

I'm sure you've taken them to tail of the dragon.

Thanks.

Oh yes, I've been there. It can be a lot of fun but if the law catches you driving "spiritedly", it can be expensive (don't ask how I know :frown:). There are lots of good mountain runs all around North Georgia as well. Atlanta is not far from the Dragon either...

The green one belongs to a pal of mine, it's fitted with a BBR Supercharger and puts out 260bhp

This is the Mk1 Eunos I had a few years ago and the I.8 Miyako I had before the Sport Black

A little video I shot on a drive over our local lanes to see my son last week, I was trying out the Olympus EPL-5 on the sucker mount in the winscreen

Hi PopiT, can you clear up a little mystery for me? I always thought that the Eunos, being for the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM), were only made in right hand drive - hence why such a lot find their way here to the UK. Is there a story to attached to your nephew's car - like has it been converted to LHD or is it a U.S market car with Eunos badges fitted. Just curious.

Hi Dewi, Youre right! Eunos are JDM's. I think those kids just badged 'em

So many beautiful Miata photos that I couldn't resist adding a quick snapshot of my '96. I haven't washed it in months so that's as big as I'm willing to make the image for now. Just a quick snapshot in my dark garage where it spends 99.9% of its time. Good practice handheld at 1/10 second at f/4. I was surprised my E-PL2 was able to focus on the faint reflection in the hood.

I always drive with the top down, even in light rain. If you go faster than about 30 mph, light rain gets flushed to the rear and you stay dry. In heavy rain I stay home. I don't take long trips but the car makes tooling around town so much more interesting. Easy to whip out my E-PL2 for a quick snapshot in any direction.

It's surprising how many people comment on "the cute car." My favorite reaction was when a small kid spotted me driving slowly by and dropped his jaw. I always thought jaw-dropping was an expression invented for purposes of exaggeration, but this kid really did it. Made my day.

Dewi yours looks a lot better than the american ones, is it just the ugly front bumper section, or are there other differences?

Yes, Ulfric - mines a 2011 Mk3.5 Sport Black 2 litre Limited Edition, the one in the video is the original mid 1990s Mk1. The silver one in my photos is my old Mk1, it's a 1.8 litre Special Edition. We're about to set off on a 3-4 week tour of Europe in 2 weeks in the Sport Black, it's great long distance car but this will probably be our last long road trip for a while so I'm looking at selling it when we get back and maybe importing a fresh Mk1 from Japan

Couple more photos - the engine bay of the Sport Black
