I went to a friend's time travel themed birthday party last weekend, where my fiancée and I dressed up as Amy and Rory from Dr. Who (coincidentally it's the Dr. Who Anniversary this week). The E-M5 and PL25 came along.

We took our costumes out for a photo shoot on another day. It was pretty difficult posing for self-portraits with a tripod up in the cold foggy hill - next camera is definitely going to have WiFi-tethered shooting capability!

So cool, looks like fun! Your costumes are great, and I really love the shot of the guy with the funky goggles and the winged cap. I definitely want some goggles like his! ;>)

  5. I don't know anything about Dr Who, but I'm getting some flashbacks from The Bill

Looks like you had a lot of fun and the images turned out great.

These are great. I am another one that does not know much about Dr. Who, but where can I get a pair of goggles like the guy is wearing in shot #3?

Pretty fantastic shots of yourself if that's what the last few were of you and your girlfriend.

wjiang, I love time travel photos.

I saw yours on the day after tomorrow and just had to post a comment....

I gotta admit I know more about The Who than I do about Dr. Who, but that outing looks like a boatload of fun.

    Thanks for posting!

    Regards,

    Jim

Thanks for all the comments, it was a lot of fun :)

Yes those last ones are of my fiancee and I, first time attempting self-portraits that weren't dorky phone selfies :p

The goggles are generic steampunk goggles, originally purchased in the States (not sure where from exactly). If you do a search you'll come across heaps of them, including on ebay.

Nice photos. I'm a classic Who fan, so I don't know much about the new Who.

What took you so long? I saw them the day before tomorrow.

I got hung up at PhotoMat waiting for my Prince to come...or was that at Disney World?

As my friend Bill Shakespeare used to say, "What's Past Is Prolog...But The Best Is Yet To Come."

    Or was that Sinatra?

I forget. Anyhow, it wasn't the Who. I won't be fooled again, it was someone in my generation...

    Regards,

    Jim

(Man, this stream of unconsciousness stuff ain't as profitable as Jack Kerouac made it out to be. Of course I'm at home and he was on the road...)
