Completely unrelated in any way to photography, but down in Tas we don't get so much to get excited about, so I'm excited

Hadspen boy Richie Porte just won the Paris-Nice, taking the lead on Stage 5 with brains and then defending it in the final ITT with downright power, beating GC rival and #2 on the stage Andrew Talansky by 23sec! More importantly, he did it on one of the few occasions Team Sky let him off the leash from his support rolls for Froome and Wiggens.

Give him a team that can support him as #1 and he'll be a Tour de France GC contender methinks...

Paris-Nice is nice, but let's see him do the Paris-Dakar on that bike. All kidding aside, that's an incredible achievement.

Nick, agreed, absolutely fantastic. As a bike tragic [sorely disappointed by the LA saga], I really admire Porte's achievement and hope he does get backing to show his future possibilities. Nice that he was supported by Wiggie. Do you shoot bike pix? How about some of the penny-farthing crew?
