A strategic blunder?

    Saw this today. Seems like the wrong direction to go. Who am I to say, but it seems that if canon and Nikon think mirrorless is the future, they're bumbling their way there.

    I'd bet they're having huge internal wars re how.

    Who knows. A camera with a fixed lens is clearly not in the same sector as an ILC like the GH4. More like a competitor to the FZ series. Doesn't seem particularly significant to me. OTOH, Canon's new M looks nearer the mark.

    Well, clearly, Canon has invented a 'super sensor' that delivers FF capability in a mere 1 inch sensor using super tiny photo receptors! I expect DSLRs with tiny little flippy mirrors to appear shortly. Sign me up!

    Don't forget m43s quality can be had in a 1/2 inch sensor using the same technology. If you combine this with the 'flat lens' technology in another post, we can expect Olympus and Panasonic to produce hybrid superzoom camera phones (as opposed to the phone cameras we now see) within within a year. ;)
