I was out for a walk and saw that one of the neighbors was cutting down their tree and they had a giant pile of branches. Everything is a photo opportunity so I took the shot.

I think this would work better as a verticle and try to get the main stick off center to create more interest. As it appears now, it cuts the phot in half (which sometimes works, but not in this case).

    Don't be dissuaded

    Hello Happy,

    Don't be dissuaded. Keep shooting!

No one comes out of the box with an inherent knowledge of composition, and post process technique.

The only way to improve, is to shoot, post ask for commentary, and accept the "constructive Criticism" that you get as feedback.

Take a look at some of the postings, this board is a GREAT place for that very thing. Find images you enjoy, ask yourself what makes them interesting. Is it the lighting, composition, a nice blend of the two. It may be just the subject that keeps your eye tuned to the image...but not often.

    Go forth and photograph!
