Far better lens than people give it credit for. The 50/1.4 (especially the SSC version) and the old rangefinder 50/1.8 are better but it's such a small difference that most people can't see it. The FD 50/1.8 is stupid cheap and exquisite. I really need a FD->m4/3 adaptor for my mother's 50/1.8.

Love the shop window shot. Thanks!

Thanks. I'm new to m4/3 and adapted lenses. I can see its a pretty deep rabbit hole to fall into!

Oh, yeah. FD has some really great glass but only us m4/3 people are able to use it ;)  IF you ever can the FD 28/2.8, 35/2 (especially the one with a chrome filter ring - it's called the "chrome nose". Killer lens. Best 35 ever made by anyone. That will cause me guff with some but I've owned Nikkors, Canon RF, Canon FD, Canon EF & Leica Summicrons. It's still the best. SSC but black filter ring is still great but not quite as great) 50/1.4 (SSC) and the 85/1.8 SSC are the FD lenses to do anything to get your hands on and because most people think they're still film only, they're all relatively cheap.

I love the 50 1.8 too. It spends more time on my camera than anything else right now.
