(aka maybe I need a weatherproof camera)

My wife needed some baking ingredients..so here is an excuse to get out on my own and take some night shots. Too bad it was pouring rain..oh well, good excuse to get a 40 min walk each way. And I even saved $2.75 on transit..which I can put towards an OMD.

All shots taken with G5, 20mm and shot in raw. I believe all but the first one are shot wide-open at ISO 3200.

I had to desaturate the hell out of this neon blue building. Just bizarre looking in person.

This shot demonstrates the limitation of a tripod when the bridge is vibrating like hell.

I see a little silhouetto of a man..

Whenever they film in NYC the street sweepers wet down the streets so they get reflections like in #3.

Thanks for the kind comments, guys. I'm glad people liked the first shot. I was playing around with it in black and white (for the more traditional street photography look) but I think it benefits from the colours. I suppose it fits my shooting style a bit more..I prefer details and textures for the eyes to wander around rather than simpler shapes. One of the fun things about being in the city..always lots of things happening in every scene. ;)

(for the curious, it's using a pre-set of mine which I tend to use for urban landscapes..WB moved towards green, slight desaturation, vignetting, and a touch of grain)

I like all of them, but especially the one with the purple windows for some reason. Thanks.

    Great photos!

You will love the OMD's weather sealing since you like shooting it the rain. :)
