Olympus has generously sent me some "I Stayed With Olympus" Swag patches for giveaways to the site members (they seem to be available for sale "across the pond").

Please note: I am limiting this giveaway to US residents only as it seems these patches are in other areas and international shipping fees are prohibitively expensive, even for smallish items.

Special thanks to Aki Murata of Olympus America Inc for providing these patches.

Disclosure: DavidZvi is personally doing this giveaway for benefit of the site members. Neither Mu-43.com nor its owner is responsible for the giveaways.

The Contest is simple:

Post a picture with some special feature of Olympus gear:
  • Handheld High Res Shot Mode
  • Live ND (Neutral Density Filter)
  • Handheld Long Exposure
  • Live Bulb / Live Time
  • Live Composite
  • Starry Ski AF
Come to mind, but I'm sure there are more and more that are special features for you.

When making a new post be sure to let us know what feature you're using or what's special to you about the feature / system.

I will be randomly selecting contributors to this contest and winners will be announced here On or about October 15th (might let this go through the 31st).

Here's a sample of a "feature" that's not one of those only available on specific models.

Handheld long exposure:

Live Time on ePL8, 5.14 seconds (give or take 0.05s). :p Night exposures are so much easier this way!
I look forward to trying some live-composite landscapes with a flashlight in the future.

Weather sealing is my favorite Olympus attribute.

This was taken at the boat ride (Hornblower Niagara Cruises) from the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, using the Olympus E-m1 mark I, and the Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 pro lens. It was taken on August 5th, 2018. While I wore the red poncho provided by the boat company, the Olympus E-m1 was not protected in any way. I did carry a rag to wipe off the lens from time to time. In this boat ride, it goes right up to the main falls (American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Horseshoe Falls), and you are drenched for about 10 minutes:

Going back to 2014, this was taken at the New York Renaissance Faire in Tuxedo, New York on August 31st, 2014 with my E-5 and 14-54mm lens. When I took this picture, I was under a pavillion, but afterwards I took my E-5 and 14-54mm walked around the faire unprotected while it was raining:

But, I'd have to say that weather-sealing is my favorite feature. I love being able to shoot in any kind of weather with an Olympus. This was in the middle of a rainstorm with my EM1 and ZD 50-200 SWD. Camera and lens survived. I got soaked. That is not noise, that's rain. :)

I am not a US resident, but can have the patch sent to my daughter's address in Washington state.

My favorite feature is the in-camera HDR mode. I used to merge 3 to 5 bracketed photos in post, but the removal of this step cuts down on processing time, which is nice because I am still editing photos and videos on a 5 year old gaming computer. I'm due for an upgrade, but this let's me get a little more life out of my PC before I need to update.

I know it wasn't listed as one of the features in the original post, but this is hands-down my most used feature in my E-M1 III.

Well there are 9 entries (@Nam-in-Sonoma I probably should have said only one entry).

I also got a mouse pad I'm offering that up (for those that don't know it says "Zuiko", I had to ask). So with the 5 patches and the mouse pad that's 6 gifts. Is there anyone that would want the mouse pad if they're picked?

That's how I got these. They aren't available directly in the US. He got them for me from Olympus UK.
No Fair! I'm telling mom! They get all the good stuff, the Queen, good tea, warm beer, Willoughby's, empires. We get the crappy leftovers, rampant materialism, celebrity idols, Walmart, military madness, ADHD.

No fair!
