A lens without peer

A picture of the disconnected head of the old pier at St Annes-on-Sea at dusk. The body in the picture was a passerby who obligingly stepped exactly into the right spot by my staring at them and willing them to do it :cool:

Taken with a GF1 and 20mm with no filtration whatsoever. What amazes me is the resistance to flare. The sun was pretty strong and look - hardly a sign of it :biggrin:

NW sunsets

I grew up very close to St Annes and its a fact the north west Lancashire and Morecombe Bay get some wonderful sunsets especially in winter between 3.30 and 4pm!!!

Thanks everyone.

As Michael says, some of the sunsets here are spectacular in Winter. I always figure I'm lucky to live on the West coast since I get my 'Golden Hours' at friendlier, more respectable times of the day :eek:)
