A large bug

    I was on the hunt for any wasps after buying some more wasp spray and ran across this big spider outside of my shop building. I don't know what kind of spider it is, but it's about four inches across.:eek:

    That's a huge spider. Pretty yellow and a nice catch.

  3. Yup, that's a BIG bug alright! It's great that you got some of his(it's)web in the shots; should give someone a hint about what it is. Kindly, keep them in Texas:smile:

    We have something similar down under we call a Golden Orb Weaver - could be related.

    It is a species of Argiope spider -- also known as Orb Weaver and various other names. Wonderful creatures.
