Got over to the beaver pond this afternoon. First time with my E-P3 in my kayak. Had the PeakDesign Capture on my life vest and generally prayed that I wouldn't accidentally roll...

Despite overcast skies and midday sun I like the results.

Fantastic shots, Tom! I like the serenity of the first one.

There is what looks like an HDR or unsharp mask artifact along the line of the sky (in #1) ... could it be masked out?

Thanks. Not sure what you're seeing - didn't use HDR or unsharp mask. Are you referring to the thin shadow line created by Border Efex?

Beautiful! You need to do this same trip again when the leaves change. I'll bet those are stellar views.

I guess so... a little halo where the trees meet the sky. I get it in my shots when I use to much unsharp mask for local contrast.
    It's worth framing though.

I find the 40-150 to be one of the sharpest lenses I have ever used. It is an amazing kit lense!
    Cheers
