The loveliness of Paris seems somehow sadly gay
The glory that was Rome is of another day
I've been terribly alone and forgotten in Manhattan
I'm going home to my city by the Bay

Gary, those first two shots are fantastic... both wall-hangers if you ask me!

The first I just love the overall feel as a B&W, and the second shot has an almost surreal juxtaposition effect. That's something else, with the the bustling city skyline poking above the fog, hovering over the lone and seemingly isolated boat out on the water. :bravo-009:

Thanks jloden. (You know that you're way too kind ... but I'm happy to take the compliments.)

Those peaches were wonderful, there were four or five different varieties, each with its own individual taste. We bought a bunch and ate them all the way back to Los Angles. Those baguettes were as tasty as they were visually appealing, we found a Turkish Coffee vendor and shared a baguette with other shoppers while we drank our coffee.

Thanks Reverend, here's the whole enchilada:

Thanks sLorenzi, you know it's hard to get a bad photo when you have water, sailboat, the Golden Gate and fog all come together.

Probably more to do with the difference in economies between Cali and Tejas.

On Sunday, there is a little farmer's market in a park next to the bay. I believe every fruit and veggie stand was organic. Farmer's Markets in California are typically full of organic growers.

Cool! While I was the natural food industry for 20 years, (east coast) the best organic produce is out here in Oregon that I have eaten and we eat mostly organic.

Once when driving across California from death valley to SF, we stopped in a town which unfortunately I can't recall now, but there was a huge fruit stand with the best tasting and looking cherries, and apricots, the size of a small peach. I will never forget that.

These 2 are just amazing captures. The first makes me want to dive right into that golden sparkly sea and there is so much air in that second shot its dizzying.

....and this, we'll, I'm a bread fiend. Looks like my fave too...olive bread. A loaf of that with some cheese and some of my old mans pršut and its happy days. Atkins diet ? NEVER !!
