I enjoyed viewing the set. If you were here in July, it was a good time weather-wise. We just finished enduring a heat wave in late August-early September.

excellent pictures. How did you get the aerial shots?

Unfortunately, LA doesn't have a 'center' and is spread out, so unless you drove all over the place, you only saw a little bit.

One of these days, my family and I will take a "staycation" for a week and just drive up to LA to see the sights.

Santa Monica Pier? Don't know why, but at times I miss LA. This is one of them. Nice shot.

Thanks man! I was there Early/Mid july, not august. jeez! time flies! It was nice and warm, only the last day were most of this images were taken, was kind of a foggy, misty gray day.

Thanks a lot! The aerials were taken when my plane was landing on an early/mid morning light. lucky me! I know L.A. is huge! been there a couple of times but never to hollywood and st monica! Loved it.

Thanks Gerard, i love in n out! back in 07 i lived in costa mesa for several months and thats when i 'met' in n out. so this time for me, was a must!

And yes LA was great. such a fun place to shoot some street photography. really random fun stuff on the streets!

hahahaah thanks Jay, gotta admit, ive been enjoying b/w quite a lot lately. Actually most of my latest photos are b/w but its also because weather its been quite crap for some colorful landscapes. but hey! spring is getting here so should bring some more color soon!. But then again, you will see a lot more b/w photos as well. hehe!

Yeah In n Out are amazing burgers! Yeah i long time friend of mine recently moved over to the Santa Monica area, and he was showing me around the place. Im glad you liked the photos and thanks for subscribing, hope i wont screw it up!

Thanks Shane. I know the Pier is a bit of a 'common place' for locals, but cant avoid being a tourist sometimes! Never been there before! good fun!

haha Thanks Bob, no it was not snowing but it was quite foggy/wet that day. those days make some really nice low/contrast/dreamy images actually.

I like scrolling through the B&Ws then hitting color with IN-N-OUT. Kind of like a Wizard of Oz thing going on there.

    Nice shots. Thanks for sharing.

Ha, it looks like you were strolling through my hood! I live pretty close to the places you were shooting. LA is fun to shoot, but sometimes it get annoying having to drive places just to find interesting subjects. Having such a spread out metropolis does that!

great shots... and great timing as I am heading there tomorrow for a couple of weeks.... third trip this year :)

Recognise many of the sites....including the BevMo liquor store, and Ameoba a truly great record and DVD store.

problem is I want a In and Out burger right now.... but will probably have to wait at least 48 hours ;-(

Venice beach is always a fun place to shoot

Nope.. It's all good... Next time!

  19. Great visual diary of the place. It's always fascinating to see one person's take on a place. I could have visited LA in transit earlier this year but chose to spend the time in San Francisco instead.

Thanks Kevin! means a lot. I didnt had the time to go to Venice, but my friend that was showing me around the place, told me about how fun it is. Anyway, great shots!.

And yes Amoeba, is probably the best and last standing 'real' independent record store in the planet. :2thumbs:

Thanks Nic! I agree with you, i think most of my photography its like my little 'moleskine', i shoot to create visual diaries. And i also love seeing other person take on i place 'i know'. :2thumbs:
