    If it hadn't been for the icy wind, I could have happily spent a couple of hours taken pics here.

    1. Nelson Monument (with Salisbury Crags in the background)

    2. National Monument (styled on the Parthenon)

    3. Canon (captured by the British during the invasion of Burma in 1885 and presented to Edinburgh the following year.)

    a great spot to visit in edinburgh at anytime...well maybe not late at night :) 

    great views... and a wind most of the time that will blow out all cobwebs.

    For the more severe hangover a walk up arthurs seat/salisbury crags is a more rigorous cure

    Used to live a short walk from this....and miss it

    Thanks. It's a place I often visit during the summer, but it was the first time I'd gone up when there was snow.
