Now it's getting really painful: either this or 12mm one...

I don't own the 12mm, but I do own the Pentax 15mm Limited lens - it is slightly wider angle (22.5mm equivalent vs 24mm equivalent), however it is by far and away my favorite lens of any I've owned (and that is no small number!). IF you know or think you might enjoy using prime lenses, by all means get the 12mm.

With that said, I've owned the 9-18mm and it is pretty spectacular in its' own right. This is close to the best price I've seen new or used - ultimately this is a buy and try, if you don't like it, sell it in 6 months, you'll be out no more than $50, which is a pretty good price for a 6 month rental!

Good price. Note that they do charge tax in many states, which can bring the price up to about $500 or so, depending on your state.

I don't understand people (like this) that refuse to ship to APO. It's like saying they just don't want to take money from people serving their country! Sorry to rant, but this excited me!

435! wow... the tax shouldn't be a surprise, though. It's whatever the state sales tax rate is in the state where you live.....what is that .... around 7%?
