The is 3 exposures with several stops difference. I had to stop way down to get the eclipse to even show through, then a couple of exposures opened up a bit to get detail in the canyon. No real way to capture the canyon and the eclipse in a single exposure with it being as high in the sky as it is here. It appears low on the horizon, but I am down in the canyon (Bryce) looking up.Unreal shot! Any postproduction?
Thanks!Whew, this is a tough one (but I suppose they always are).
I loved the astronomy shots..we've been lucky to have some cool solar events this year. And there were some lovely captures of family/pet moments.
But this was my favourite image of the contest.

Congrats to the winner, tanngrisnir3!
What a great capture..I love the rich textures and shadows of the image. And just the bizarre, surreal runner going through the middle. Just a great juxtaposition.
(FWIW, it was a very close decision with hypnomatt's entry of the child behind the broken window, linked here https://www.mu-43.com/f48/7th-mu-43-salon-competition-capturing-unique-moment-26896/index3.html#post263389 This was an incredible capture with one of the most interesting and gripping compositions I've seen in quite a while).
Thanks again everyone for participating and can't wait to see the next challenge.
